What your 5-year, no hassle, warranty and guarantee covers

You’ve trusted OverBoard® to take care of your precious possessions. Now we are taking care of you. The following is our only warranty. It represents our entire obligation to you, is your sole remedy for any defects, and does not impact your statutory rights.


What IS covered?


Our warranty covers you against all manufacturing faults. So, if after our inspection the product is found to be defective, we will repair or replace it free of charge. With our aim always to repair to protect the environment by keeping items out of landfill where possible.

We will even refund your postage costs. Nice one?!

What's NOT covered

Wear and Tear / Accidental Damage

You are not covered for ‘unreasonable’ damage due to failing to follow the product instructions, accidents, abrasions, holes, tears, burns, animal attacks, neglect and such.

Damage in Transit

We test our products to be sure they can cope with travel and flying. If you are unfortunate to experience damage in transit you should contact the airline or your travel insurer.

Environmental and Delamination

Where you bag is stored, and what's stored inside at the time, can slowly cause damage to the materials. If we believe this is to be the cause you would not be covered..

What’s covered and what’s not?

Covered: All OverBoard® branded products purchased from 2019 onwards.


Covered: Defects in materials and manufacture – the things down to us – as caused by normal and reasonable use.


Covered: The product itself.


Not covered: Damage inflicted ‘unreasonably’ – from abrasions, holes, tears, burns, animal attacks, neglect, not following the product instructions, accidents, and such.


Not covered: Items you put inside that become damaged. However, parts of the world won’t allow such an exclusion so this may not impact you.


Not covered: Broken buckles, zips or lost components like straps.


Not covered: If the alleged fault is shown not to exist following testing or examination.


Who is protected and how long?

Our warranty protects the owner of this item. If you bought it and kept it then that’s you. If you gave or sold it to someone, then it’s them. And it lasts for 5 years from the date of first purchase after you have registered your product with us.

Do I need to register my product to benefit from the 5 year extended warranty?

Absolutely 'yes'. The only way to benefit from this extended warranty is to register your product.

How will OverBoard® sort things?

During the warranty period, if the product turns out to be substandard we will –

  • Repair it without charge.
  • If repair is not possible, we will replace it.
How does the law of the land and the state impact this warranty?

The warranty does not limit your protection from consumer law in your own country or state.

How do I make a warranty claim?

We are closely following recommendations from health officials on preventing the spread of COVID-19 and for the safety of our team members, we have made the decision to temporarily suspend the acceptance of warranty claims. When it is appropriate to do so, we will honour any warranted products that expired during this suspension period. We will continue to monitor the situation, and update as we can. Thank you for your patience and continued support.
